October 16 & 17, 2004
Mount Cheam Lion's Club Annual Model Railway & Hobby Show was held on Saturday,
October 16th and Sunday, October 17th at Chilliwack Heritage Park. A popular Fraser Valley event,
this show was attended by thousands of train and hobby enthusiasts from BC's lower mainland, Alberta,
and Washington State.
Kids and adults enjoyed the exciting show that featured many train layouts of different scales and
gauges, train rides aboard a 7 ½" gauge F7 electric locomotive, thrilling radio-controlled model racing
cars, and a fascinating, acrobatic performance by radio-controlled model aircraft!

Howie & Elva Mason, Aunt Jackie, Thor, and Dennis presided at Mason's
Trains' booth that showcased an assortment of G-Scale locomotives, rolling stock, and accessories. Of
special importance was the crowd-pleasing 3-truck Shay live steam locomotive prominently (and proudly!)
displayed for fellow train engineers to enjoy.
