June 20, 2005 On June 19, 2005, the Kootenay Live Steamers celebrated Father's Day with a special event that provided dedicated Fathers and their loving families with exciting live steam train rides. Over a 5 1/2 hour period, approximately 900 people enjoyed the thrilling rides and, as usual, Mason's Trains fabulous 4-6-4 Hudson #2803 performed flawlessly! Assisting Train Engineer Howie Mason, were Dave and Dennis who handled all Gandy Dancer duties professionally. A special thanks goes out to all the wives who kept a watchful eye on the safety aspect of the event, and supervised the crowd with style and grace! Until next time... happy steaming!
